One of the world’s oldest and most respected cricket brands, Gunn & Moore has been at the forefront of bat design since 1885.

That was the year Nottingham-born England batter William Gunn partnered with local businessman Thomas James Moore to form GM, and so began a mission to create the best cricket bats ever seen.

Known for his scientific approach to batting at the crease, Gunn applied the same philosophy to batmaking, recruiting skilful crafters to create his vision of the perfect bat by way of painstaking processes.

Fast-forward a century, and that idea holds today: while GM still uses expert crafters to check and finish their bats, the initial shaping of the wood is performed by machine.
